As part of the Brendan D. Downey Memorial Fund, Dan and I will annually donate to the Medical College of Virginia Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU). Since Brendan's diagnosis, the EMU at VCU has been instrumental in caring for Brendan's needs. We are grateful for their support over the course of five years. A way for us to give back, in Brendan's name, is to donate funds to assist students with epilepsy that face the challenge of not being able to drive. We understand the need to attend medical appointments and classes and the hardships that come with not being able to drive to either one or both.
